Lead Credit Policy
Effective September 20, 2026
Our goal is to count genuine homeowner opportunities while giving Home Pros a clear review process for invalid requests.
1. Reporting window
A Home Pro must submit an invalid-lead report from the project page within 72 hours after receiving the opportunity. Each opportunity may be reported once. Reports should include enough specific information for review.
2. Reasons that may qualify
- Fake or unusable homeowner contact information
- A duplicate of the same homeowner request
- A request placed in the wrong service category
- A project outside the Home Pro’s approved service area
- The purported homeowner states that they did not submit the request
- Spam, advertising or solicitation rather than a genuine home project
3. Reasons that do not qualify
- The homeowner did not respond after submitting a genuine request
- The homeowner chose another Home Pro or decided not to hire anyone
- The project was smaller, larger or less profitable than expected
- The Home Pro was unavailable, declined, priced unsuccessfully or did not respond
- The homeowner changed timing, scope or budget after a genuine request
4. Review and restoration
MyHomeProEstimate reviews the report and may consider project details, matching data, account activity and communications. If approved, the original record remains in history and one opportunity is restored to the plan allotment for the calendar month in which it was awarded. A restored opportunity is a plan credit, not a cash refund.
5. Guaranteed Response effect
Approved invalid opportunities are not counted as valid opportunities when eligibility for the zero-opportunity Guaranteed Response credit is calculated.
6. Abuse
Repeated inaccurate, misleading or abusive reports may be denied and may result in limits on reporting privileges or account review. We may correct an approval caused by fraud or an obvious technical error.
